Katy -- Thanks so much for taking the time to provide this great feedback. It's much appreciated. I will keep that on the list of podcast topics. It is a good one, and a pretty common issue for many people. Unfortunately, one of the key features that helps make it easier has been "broken" in CS4 (see the related post). But maybe that broken feature makes it worth a podcast just to get the word out to Adobe to fix it.

Thanks for a fantastic book Michael.
It's straight to the point, full of valuable efficiency tips and an enjoyable read. I've been able to shave a day off the usual production time on my monthly magazine already... which is priceless. Wish I'd gotten hold of your book sooner!

Also, I'm wondering if in a future podcast you'd be able to cover best practice/most efficient way of receiving text from contributors in your experience. (I have a team who are willing to format the text prior, using Word para styles that i set up for them, but I'm also keen to harness the "next style" function for the more style repetitive columns.)

Craig --
It doesn't matter where you bought the book. Just register it at Peachpit.com using the ISBN number on the back cover and you'll get access to the downloadable chapters.

@Peter & Gary (and everyone else who had trouble with downloading the extra chapters initially), you need to be logged into your Peachpit account, then click the Account link at the top of the page. You'll be taken to a list of your registered products, and there'll be an "Access to protected content" link which will get you to the download page for the two extra chapters.

Love the book - just doing (and keeping track of) screenshots must have taken weeks! (Also appreciate that there's ne'er a Windows window in the whole book. I don't have any ALT keys anyway.)

Now, maybe you'll tell me how you got chapter numbers into the TOC. If my chapters are separate documents (and numbered by their book position relative to chapter 1), how do I "retrieve" the chapter numbers for the TOC, which is yet another document.

Hi Michael,
I received my copy of your book in the post. Have to say that after an ordinary day at work, the book has made my day. By the way, I was able to download the extra chapters by going through my accounts page on peachpit.

Thanks again.

Yes please let us know when that content is uploaded. Though this was the first time that a book ordered through them was automatically registered. Usually you have to do it manually once you have the book in hand.

I suspect it is still too early to be uploaded yet.
